Teenager Killed in Fatal Accident

HINDS COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The State Highway Patrol has released the name of the teenager killed in a pedestrian accident on Highway 27 in Hinds County Wednesday night.

Adrian Nelson, 14, was hit by a car while chasing a basketball onto a stretch of Highway 27 in Utica north of Old Port Gibson Road.

The accident happened at approximately 8 p.m., according to MHP

This is the second time in as many days that a pedestrian has been killed in Hinds County. An unidentified woman was killed when she was hit by a car while walking along Interstate 20 Frontage Road in Jackson Tuesday night.
