JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

An elaborate marijuana manufacturing operation was busted in Jackson Friday night. It was discovered in an apartment complex in the Belhaven Heights neighborhood on Monroe and Moody Streets.

Acting on a tip, deputies with the Hinds County Sheriff's Department's Street Crimes Task Force, raided an apartment and found marijuana plants in various stages of growth. The plants, 47 total, appeared to be highly cultivated.

Lawmen arrested 42-year-old Jessica Bickmore, the resident of the apartment.

"She's being charged with manufacture of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute," said Lt. Richard Spooner, Hinds County Sheriff's Department.

Some of the marijuana had been processed, apparently ready for sale.

Captain Nick Clark says the pot had an estimated street value of $150,000 had it matured.

Bickmore is in the Hinds County Detention in Raymond.
