The manhunt continues for a man who fired several shots at police officers in Jefferson Davis County.
The shooting occurred around 10:30 Thursday night at Palmetto Apartments in Prentiss.
Police officers were asked to assist deputies with a domestic disturbance call. When officers arrived, a gunman opened fire before running into a wooded area.
Authorities say the gunman, identified as 25-year old James McLaurin, is about 6'4", weighs 170 pounds and is considered armed and dangerous.
