Woman caught in middle of gun fire

A woman is rushed to the hospital after being caught in the middle of a shoot out in Jackson.

It happened just after 5:30 Sunday evening at Grove Park in the 4100 block of Parkway Avenue.

Natasha Davis of Gluckstadt was shot in the upper right arm. Her injuries are not life threatening.

Davis tells Jackson police she was sitting on the bed of a truck when two men started shooting at each other. That's when on bullet struck Davis.

"Her cousin who was with her tried to transport her to a hospital, but was stopped by police at the City Trends located at State Street and Northside Drive where AMR proceeded on and transported her to UMC," said JPD Officer Colendula Green.

Green says police are now searching for the gunmen, a description of the shooters was not immediately available.
