Child injured in hit and run wreck

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A driver slams into another vehicle, then flees the scene leaving a child injured. The hit and run happened just before 4:30 Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Ellis Avenue and Robinson Road.

According to a Jackson Police spokesperson, a 2007 gold Saturn Aura was attempting to make a left turn off Robinson Road when it was struck by a 1995 green Buick Regal.

The driver of the Regal did not stop and was last seen traveling eastbound on Capitol Street.

A seven year old passenger in the Saturn Aura complained of chest pain and was transported to UMC.
