Car flips in collision, driver hospitalized

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Jackson woman is hospitalized after her car flips during a wreck. It happened around 2:30 Monday afternoon at the intersection of Robinson Road and Prentiss Street.

An eyewitness says the driver of a green Pontiac traveling west on Robinson Road, hit a woman in a green Geo Metro going south on Prentiss, who ran a red light and pulled out in front of him.

When the cars collided, the Metro was flipped upside down and spun around. It struck a nearby truck before landing on its roof.

A female driver in the car was hospitalized with an injured leg. A male driver and a toddler in the other car were not hurt.
