JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A royal family follower allowed one of WLBT's cameras into her home as she watched the royal wedding with her husband Friday morning.
Karen Bishop woke up very very early to watch Kate and William say their "I do's." Bishop, a Jackson native was recently one of five Americans featured on the BBC's reality show "Royally Mad." On the show, Bishop spent eight days in London and took part in a number of activities associated with the royal wedding.
Bishop said she's followed the royal family for her entire life and she thinks it was worth it to wake up and watch the wedding Friday morning.
Bishop said, "I got up at 3 this morning, which I kind of have gone back and forth about whether I really wanted to get up at three because I have to go to work today, but I decided this is a once in a lifetime thing and I really wanted to watch the whole thing so I've been up really a long time already."
Bishop said she was particularly surprised by how well the Middleton family has handled themselves over the past several months as they've entered into the international spotlight.
