JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A follow up to a story WLBT first showed you last week.

Videos were posted on YouTube.com of a Jackson Police cruiser apparently running down a motorcyclist.

Surveillance cameras mounted on the old Lamar Outdoor building on West Street in Jackson capture a vehicle with lights flashing striking the motorcycle before slamming into a fence.

Jackson Police Assistant Chief Lee Vance told WLBT quote:

"The officer was attempting a traffic stop when he collided with the motorcycle on Gallatin near I-20. The motorcyclist did incur a small cut to the leg and some bruises. AMR responded but did not transport the driver. He was cited for speeding, driving with a suspended license and failure to have insurance."
