There's still time to buy tickets for the American Heart Association's Jackson Go Red for Women Luncheon. The annual American Heart Association fundraiser takes place Friday, May 6th.
The event is geared towards educating women and men about heart disease. During the event, participants are able to take part in health screenings and heart related break-out sessions with specialists. Heart disease survivors will also strut the catwalk in a heart survivor fashion show.
Heart attack survivor Carol Dendy says, "It's a wonderful event, I encourage everyone to come if they've never been, the educational break-out sessions are very informative."
The luncheon takes place Friday at the Country Club of Jackson.
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m.
For more information, contact the American Heart Association at 601-321-1211 or go to www.heart.org/metrojacksongored.
Tickets are $75.
