WARREN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The search concluded Sunday for a Warren County teenager suspected in her stepmother's murder.

Tyla Denise Vega, 14, was arrested at a friend's home in Greenville by Greenville Police officer and officials with the U.S. Marshal's office.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said she was captured around 7:20 p.m. and deputies were on their way to the Delta to retrieve her.  She will be charged with the shooting death of 32 year-old Alicia Michelle Vega.

According to Sheriff Pace, the victim was discovered Monday afternoon at the family's mobile home on Jones Road. She had died from a single gunshot wound to the head.

Neighbors had noticed Tyla Vega leaving the scene in a Dodge Durango that was later discovered in Greenville and helped lead authorities to the teen's location.
