Gov. orders state flags to half staff in memory of late senator

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Governor Haley Barbour ordered flags at state buildings to fly at half-staff in honor of longtime state Senator Jack Gordon

Gordon died Saturday at his home in Okolona, more than a year after being diagnosed with brain cancer.

Sen. Jack Gordon was 66.

His funeral is set for 1:00pm Tuesday afternoon at Okolona Baptist Church.
