Jackson firefighters battled house fire

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson firefighters have just extinguished a house fire in the Capital City.

The blaze broke out in a one story house at the corner of Edwards Avenue and Mayes Street just after 9:00 Sunday night.

When fire crews arrived the house was fully involved. Four fire engines responded and we're told no one was hurt.

The flames did not spread to neighboring homes.
