The Hinds County Board of Supervisors approved the Byram Police Department's request to cancel the request for 45 E.F. Johnson police radios.
The police department's request came after the department ordered 60 Motorola police radios.
The Motorola radios were ordered after the E.F. Johnson's were not delivered to the Byram police department.
During Monday's Hinds County Board of Supervisors meeting, the board was supposed to discuss what should happen to the E.F. Johnson radios.
However, no decision was made.
"It was passed over because we wanted to get with the company and make sure we're doing the right thing," said George Smith, Hinds County Board Supervisors President.
The board did agree to issue I.D. numbers to the Byram radios, but that decision depends on whether Hinds County programs the radios.
