Family Dollar clerk robbed at gunpoint

A Jackson store clerk was robbed at gunpoint Saturday morning. The female was not hurt.

Authorities say around 8 a.m. The manager of the Family Dollar Store on Nakoma Drive was locking up the store when a man approached her from the east side of the building. He pushed her back in the store and took the bank deposit money she was holding.

He then ran off. Jackson police describe the armed robber as a black male, about 6' tall with a handgun.

He wore black shorts and a hoodie.
