Driver headed in wrong direction causes accident

It appears a driver headed in the wrong direction caused this accident around 11 a.m. Saturday on I-55 just south of the Pearl Street exit.

It looks like a gold SUV was driving southbound in the northbound lanes when it sideswiped a gold car.

We saw a passenger in the car being transported by ambulance.
