Fast moving water pushes barge backwards in MS River

Severe storms are making a bad situation even worse along parts of the flooded Mississippi.

Rising water and more rain on the way to some areas. The water, rushing so fast, it literally pushes the barge backwards!

The river has already crested in places like Vicksburg, but it continues to flood areas south of there, after the Army Corps of Engineers opened gates on the Morganza Spillway in Louisiana.

The move is designed to take pressure off levees in Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
