
Hinds County sheriff's deputies and the U.S. Marshals Service have arrested three men in connection with a cold-case murder investigation from 2008.
Larry Hunter, 48, was shot while he was in his truck in Edwards on February 11, 2008. Investigators believe the shooters were after his $6,000 refund check from the Internal Revenue Service.
On Monday, Hinds County Sheriff Malcolm McMillin announced that three men had been arrested in the case. All three are being charged with capital murder and armed robbery.
McMillin said the arrests are the result of ongoing leads.
