Jackson Police confirmed Thursday night at approximately 8:15 p.m. the Bolton Police Department, Mississippi HIghway Patrol and Hinds County Sheriff's Department were called to I-20 east bound near mile marker 24. A motorist had stopped there and discovered a human body.
The body was discovered in the same area where Dianne Hearn's missing woman's cell phone and wallet were recovered by passers-by.
The motorist said they stopped and while out of their vehicle smelled a strong odor. They discovered the body in the grass not far away. Jackson police say the victim appears to be a white female.
Investigators were unable to make a positive identification. Detectives will await results from the MS State Crime Lab to determine if this is the body of Dianne Hearn.
Dianne Hearn disappeared five days ago after allegedly being kidnapped from her south Jackson home.
She was last seen Sunday night when George Affleck forced her into his truck. Jackson police have charged the ex-boyfriend with murder after finding blood in his home and vehicle.
We have learned detectives have requested a DNA swab from Hearn's daughter as part of their investigation.
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice says Affleck served 15 years in the state pen.
Among the charges, aggravated robbery, burglary and two aggravated assault charges and drug possession.
