JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Governor Haley Barbour says the state flag will fly at half-staff beside the U.S. flag on Memorial Day Monday.
The governor says on Memorial Day he hopes people will take a moment to remember the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting our freedom.
The U.S. flag code says the flag should be displayed at half-staff until noon, then raised to the top of the staff.
Federal, state and local government offices will be closed on Monday.
