Authorities in east Mississippi are investigating a Memorial Day accident that killed four people, including two children.
It happened on U.S. Highway 45 in Clarke County, south of Meridian. Investigators say the victims' Chevrolet Suburban crashed into a concrete bridge support at Highway 18.
Two adults and two children died in the accident. Four other children survived; one of them was brought to Jackson for treatment.
Investigators believe a blown tire may have caused the wreck.
"The vehicle was apparently traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 45, lost control, traveled off the highway and collided into the concrete pillar," said Master Sergeant Malachi Sanders of the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
