JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Jackson woman says she was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight Tuesday afternoon outside a Walgreen's Drug Store.

The store is located at the southwest corner of Northside Drive and Northbrook Drive.

Mashetta Simson told WLBT she had a gun aimed at her and was told to give up her purse at the Walgreen's store on Northside Drive about 1:00 Tuesday afternoon.

Simson says there is surveillance tape of the robbery.

Walgreen's has confirmed that, but will not give it to us to put on the air.

She only describes the robbers as two men.

Initially, she was going to talk on camera but she has hired a lawyer who advised her not to do that.

She says out of no where two people came up pulled a gun on her and took her purse.

Simson says they even pulled the trigger on the gun, but it didn't have a round in the chamber.

Simson says the reason she came to us is that she wants people to know that you can be attacked that way in broad daylight in Jackson.

WLBT has also reported, a man was killed at nearly the same location in November of 2006 when he was making a delivery at the same Walgreen's store.

Marcus Riddley, 36, was delivering snacks when he was gunned down.

Eyewitnesses said they saw a black male wearing black pants, a t-shirt and a black cap running south behind the store.

The murder remains unsolved.
