Willie Nelson performs Wednesday night in Jackson

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A country music legend took to the stage in the Capital City Wednesday night.

Willie Nelson performed at the Jackson Convention Complex to a packed house Wednesday evening.

This, as a Texas court ordered him to settle marijuana possession charges the same day.

The 78-year-old can send the $500 fine and $287 court costs by mail.

Nelson was arrested in November at a border patrol checkpoint when an agent searched his tour bus because of a suspicious aroma coming from the vehicle.
