JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Another day of storms in the afternoon is the early outlook on our weather for Thursday. We'll maintain a 20% chance of showers for this afternoon, possibly as early as 3pm to the south of I-20.

Tomorrow the chances of rain dwindle to just a 10% chance or even less. However the heat will still be in place with temps climbing to the mid 90s.

The Flood of 2011 is still the primary weather story. The latest levels along the Mississippi are in Greenville at 50.8 feet. In Vicksburg the level this morning was measured at 48 feet even. At the Natchez site the level is at 55 feet even. The levels are consistently falling at this point.
