Jackson Police have tracked down the gunman accused in the overnight shooting that claimed the life of a man in the parking lot of a west Jackson convenience store.
JPD officers responded to the shooting shortly after 11 p.m. Friday night at the Fuel Time Gas Station in the 45 hundred block of Bullard Street.
Officer Colendula Green says police found the body of 31 year-old Robert Strahan of Jackson lying on the ground when they arrived.
Strahan had been shot twice in the chin.
Witnesses told investigators that he was arguing with several people in the parking lot before gunfire erupted.
A few hours later officers arrested 35-year-old Michael Jerome Hill.
Hill has been charged with murder.
He is being held at the Hinds County Detention Center.
