Shooting victim died, second remains hospitalized - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
Jackson police tell us one of two men involved in a shooting Saturday night has died.
Officers responded to the shootings in the 800 block of Winter Street around 9:30 p.m.
Dennis McDougles, 18, of Jackson was found lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
He later died at a local hospital.
Police said the second shooting victim, 20-year-old James A. Lewis, was located nearby.
He was found lying in the living room of a house in the 900 block of Peabody Street with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Witnesses told police a fight took place which was followed by multiple shots being fired.
Lewis is listed in stable condition at University Medical Center.
