Escaped Inmate Captured in Madison

MADISON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Madison Police have caught Christopher Thrasher. He was taken into custody around 8pm Friday night when he was spotted on foot off Highway 51 and Olympic Way, north of Madison.

The Mississippi Department of Corrections inmate walked off his work detail Friday afternoon at the Madison County Road Department Auto Shop.

Thrasher was serving a 21-year sentence for burglary convictions from Lee County and will now face an additional charge for escape.
