STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Mississippi State has sold 43,518 football season tickets for the upcoming season, breaking last year's school record by about 200 tickets.
The total includes about 11,000 tickets student tickets, according to the school. Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field has a capacity of 55,082 fans.
The Bulldogs are coming off their best season in a decade, when they spent much of the season in the national rankings and finished with a 9-4 record, including a win over Michigan in the Gator Bowl. MSU is expected to be good again this fall, with several key players returning, including quarterback Chris Relf and running back Vick Ballard.
