Jackson police are searching for three juveniles who carjacked a man and sent him to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
Police responded to the scene in the 100 block of Galvez Street at the JD Food Mart around 3:40 Tuesday afternoon.
JPD investigators say 61-year-old Harry Williams was sitting in his 1991 Honda Accord when three juveniles walked up to his car. Williams told investigators the individuals were armed and demanded his vehicle.
Officer Colendula Green said, "He was approached by 3 unknown juveniles displaying weapons. One of these juveniles did shoot him in the upper chest and fled the scene."
Williams was taken to UMC. His condition is not known.
