Salvation Army needs help

The Salvation Army in Vicksburg needs help in it's efforts to assist flood victims.

At least 2,400 people are being supplied by the Salvation Army in the aftermath of the Great Flood of 2011.

Army spokeswoman Phyllis Refroze told WLBT cleaning supplies, such as Clorox are badly needed so flood victims can combat mold as they try to move back into their homes.

They also need canned goods, that do not have to be refrigerated, and money.

If you want to take supplies to them, they are in the old service department of the Blackburn Motors building on Washington Street south of downtown.  Blackburn Motors was the old Chrysler-Plymouth-Nissan dealer that moved to Interstate 20 frontage road.
