JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
For the rest of tonight, a few isolated gusty storms will end by 10PM. Otherwise warm tonight with lows in the lower 70s.
For your 4th of July, expect more heat and a little more humidity around. Highs in the middle to upper 70s. Once again scattered storms will develop in the late afternoon and evening hours. While I don't expect widespread severe weather, a few strong storms can't be ruled out with gusty winds the main threat. Most storms will end in time for evening fireworks, but a storm or two may linger as late as 10PM.
Our afternoon storm chances will increase a touch for mid-week and hopefully you will get some rain in your area. Temperatures will remain above normal for highs...generally in the middle 90s.
