The primary concern for today will be the amount of moisture building quickly in the atmosphere for today. Early morning observations indicated some visibility counts dropped all the way down to zero.
The 'hovering' moisture will be a thorn in our side during the entire day. Despite the lower temps expected, the heat index will reach higher than yesterday. The heat index will climb to 100-104 during the peak heating hours of the afternoon.
A slight chance of rain will stick around during the early evening hours. Only a 20-30% chance for today and tomorrow. The normal high is in the lower 90s, and we'll stay slightly above that today. But the discomfort of the day will be due to the 'dew points' riding so high. And that translates into a 'very muggy' day that won't let up unless you're lucky enough to receive a spot shower.
This steamy pattern is staying place for the next 5-7 days in a row. And the slight chances of rain will stay in the 20-40% range.
