The primary election of Decision 2011 is less than a month away and Republican Phil Bryant remains the top fundraiser among statewide candidates.
The latest campaign finance reports were filed Friday.
Bryant is holding $1.1 million in campaign funds.
Behind him is Republican candidate Dave Dennis with $508,283.
Hudson Holliday reports $482,784.
Republican Ron Williams reports no cash on hand, but he has spent more than half a million dollars.
In the Democratic Primary for Governor, Bill Luckett reports $441,828 while Johnny Dupree reports $119,937.
"My war chest, has always been, on the smaller side if you would say," said Johnny Dupree, (D) Gubernatorial Candidate. "We have always relied on a grassroots effort, we have always depended on getting the message out to the people, and people believing in the message and the messenger."
Dupree's opponent in the election is Clarksdale businessman and attorney, Bill Luckett.
This is Luckett's first time to run for any office.
"I hear so many people comment when asked who is going to win, and the answer is, who has the most money, that is not a good commentary on the system frankly...and I am competing in that respect and raising money, but so much of our time as candidate is spent dialing for dollars," said Bill Luckett, (D) Gubernatorial Candidate.
Party primaries are August 2nd, and the general election is November 8th.
