The Dangerous Heat Sticks Around

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The dangerous heat is still in full effect today; even though many of the counties have been taken from under the heat advisory. Hinds and Rankin counties for example are not under the heat advisory as of this morning.

However temps will once again reach into the upper 90s; just like the other counties that are still under the advisory.

Our chances of rain has gone on the increase for today, 50% chance during the afternoon. Tuesday storms caused wind damage near McNair, 4 miles east of Utica, near Flora & Clinton between 4-6pm.

More showers are expected in the afternoon along with more heat. However temps are expected to slowly fall to the lower 90s.
