We are no longer under the Heat Advisory; but it's going to be sweltering nonetheless. Expect a high in the mid 90s, but the heat index will still climb to triple digits.
The afternoon will feature several areas of spot shower breaking out. This will be especially true during the late afternoon and early evening hours. The 70% chance of shower we have in the forecast may also include some areas receiving a severe storm in the midst of the cooling showers.
By this evening will settle quickly into the 80s as the sun goes down, some showers will linger in the area until the late night hours. The left over rain will be very isolated for the late night hours.
The weekend is looking humid but lower temps. The normal high for this time of the year is in the lower 90s. That's where we'll end up this weekend, near 92 degrees. We have at least a 40-60% chance of rain on Saturday as well as Sunday.
