Photos are being used to honor the soldiers who died during Vietnam.
Jan Scruggs is the president of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in D.C. He's collecting pictures of the more than 58,000 Vietnam vets who lost their lives in the war.
During a ceremony, Scruggs received 600 photos of Vietnam vets from Mississippi who were killed during Vietnam. The pictures will be put on display in an up and coming memorial in D.C. called the "Education Center At The Wall."
The center will be similar to a museum. Digital photos of Vietnam soldiers who died will be the center piece of the "Education Center At The Wall."
Scruggs says, "A photograph really brings a person alive again you can really imagine the person and what he or she was like, so it's important to get the photographs to help the visitors when they come to the Education Center."
Groundbreaking on the "Education Center At The Wall" is expected in 2012. 637 Mississippians lost their lives in Vietnam.
