Fresh off his appearance Thursday gubernatorial debate televised right here on WLBT, Lieutenant Governor Phil Bryant makes a campaign stop in Hattiesburg.
He was speaking with local workers in the forestry industry. The "Forestry for Phil" fish fry was held at the Lake Terrace Convention Center Saturday.
Bryant says if elected governor, his administration will continue to support Mississippi timber producers and bio-fuels.
"We're the Saudi Arabia of trees. We now have the system to turn those trees into fuel oil. We're going to lead the nation in that, create jobs, go hi-tech with it and it's amazing how much the Pine Belt is going to benefit because of it," Bryant said.
Bryant says if he wins the August second primary, he'll look forward to another debate with the democratic nominee.
