FLOWOOD, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The search is over for a man police had been looking for in the Castlewoods neighborhood in Rankin County.

Police say Joseph Brasfield, 37, was wanted for grand larceny in Rankin County and other areas for stealing televisions.

Officers spotted Brasfield Monday at the Walmart on Highway 25 in Flowood. They say he took off in a car down Highway 25 to the Vineyard apartments, then jumped out and took off on foot into Castlewoods near the Azalea Trails area.

A search ensued, with multiple agencies and search dogs involved.

Brasfield was wearing a neon green yellow shirt and some long underwear. Authorities say they found his shoes and jeans in the woods.

Flowood police say Brasfield was captured around 2:30 Tuesday morning not far from the Walmart. He faces additional charges related to his fleeing.
