Hot and muggy weekend - - Jackson, MS

Hot and muggy weekend

The best rain chances are west of I-55 and north if I-20 this evening. Most of the downpours will end by 9PM. Otherwise clouds and muggy weather for the overnight hours. Lows in the middle 70s.

High pressure will continue to build in from the east this weekend. This will mean lower rain chances and hotter temperatures for eastern and southern areas. For Saturday and Sunday, I expect most communities to reach at least the mid 90s, but some upper 90s are also possible.

Rain chances will continue to be possible over the weekend, but should be more isolated in nature, with scattered storms across the Highway 82 corridor and northward.

Tropical Storm Don will make landfall near Corpus Christi, TX tonight. Meanwhile, I'm watching a decent tropical wave east of the Lesser Antilles that may become the next Tropical Depression next week.
