JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Jackson businessman is fed up with crime in Jackson. It was the latest incident that set him on fire. A bold thief rips off Grayson Goodwill's tools and wallet at a job site in north Jackson. What the crook didn't know was, the heist is captured on surveillance tape and we have it.

Grayson Goodwill owns and operates Aircare air conditioning sales and service. Monday he made a pit stop at this business on I-55 north to drop off some equipment. "I was away from my truck about 15 minutes." Within minutes he heard a noise that alerted him to trouble.

A Nissan Altima pulls up alongside Graysons work unlocked work truck. "This was provided from Morgan and White Group from their security cameras. Showing everything that happened from beginning to end. Like I said I didn't even notice my wallet was taken until I saw the video," according to the victim.

Goodwill walked over to find out what was going on and confronted the thief. "I said well you have my tools in your front seat and he said no,I do air conditioning work to. I said well those are minute you need to get out of your vehicle."

The man sped off, and the victim called police. Another costly crime for this Jackson businessman. "You have to report all these claims on your insurance?" He replied, "I'm not reporting this one."

With theft of his equipment twice and a 2010 home invasion on his claims, Goodwill's insurance company canceled his coverage this month.

After years of living and working in Jackson he says he moving out. "I'm leaving Jackson. I've been here 25 years and I can't take anymore. I'm done with it."

All items that can be replaced at his expense. But Grayson Goodwill says third times charm, he's had enough and now fears for the safety of his family.

The getaway car is described as a 2005 or newer dark blue Nissan Altima. The license tag number is MDG 755.

The driver is described as a black male in his mid to late 40's, and is about 5'10" or 5'11".
