Hosemann wins GOP nod for Secretary of State

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Republican Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann of Jackson won his party's nomination for re-election Tuesday night. Hosemann is completing his first term as secretary of state.

He easily defeated Gulfport City Council member Ricky Dombrowski in the Republican primary.

No Democrat is running. One faction of the Reform Party wants to put a candidate for secretary of state on the Nov. 8 general election ballot.
