New home for Oktibbeha school district

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) - The Oktibbeha (ock TIB' ih hah) County School District is ready to move into its $1.6 million new home.

Monday, school administration members began moving into their new building after the Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors approved the building for occupancy.

Supervisors had a walk-through of the facility earlier this week to address a lengthy list of deficiencies the contractor had been working to correct since the end of June, according to the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal ( Those were mostly cosmetic changes, including refinishing sheet-rock in specific rooms, readjusting doors to fit frames and replacing damaged tile.
