COPIAH COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Copiah County authorities said an arrest has been made in a murder investigation.

David Carter of Slidell, Louisiana was taken into custody in Hammond, Louisiana for the murder of 30-year-old Larry Mazie.

Mazie was found in his home July 26th. Investigators say he was shot with an AK-47.

Carter waived extradition and will be taken to the jail in Gallman.
