Man accused of killing Lanier High student denied bond - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
The man accused of gunning down a Lanier High School football player was denied bond Friday morning in a Hinds County courtroom.
Eric Gordan is accused of killing Deronnie Spencer.
The 24-year-old Jackson man turned himself into police. Gordan is facing murder charges in connection with the shooting death of the 17-year-old Lanier High School student.
Spencer, a popular athlete, was shot 5 times while sitting in a car on California Avenue late Saturday night.
Spencer was a standout athlete at Lanier.
It's not believed that Spencer was the intended victim according to police.
