Coroner released findings on body found near roadway

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Hinds County's coroner has released the preliminary findings on a body found Saturday morning.

Authorities got the call around 7 a.m. and discovered the dead body of an 82-year-old man near Terry Road and Winter Street.

Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart said he died of natural causes.

He was found in a grassy area near the roadway.

The man was reportedly homeless and was known to frequent the area.

His name is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
