Extremely hot and muggy weather will continue, with a Heat Advisory in effect through early Monday evening for most of our area. Highs will reach the mid to upper 90s this afternoon, with heat indices between 105-110.
I do expect to see some isolated to scattered showers and storms this afternoon and evening, similar to what we had on Saturday. A few storms may be strong, with wind gusts up to 50mph, torrential downpours, and frequent lightning. Most storm activity will end by 10PM.
Better storm chances and somewhat cooler conditions are in store later this week. I'll have details coming up this afternoon at 5PM on WLBT.
