Louisiana smoke seen as far as Bovina - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
Residents in the River City were surprised to find a dense smoke hovering in the air Sunday morning.
The smoke began crossing the Mississippi River from Louisiana into Vicksburg around 9:30 am.
Large pieces of ash also fell from the sky.
Vicksburg Police said the smoke was from a large controlled burn in Louisiana.
The smoke stretched down Interstate 20 all the way to Bovina.
