A man the Madison and Rankin County district attorney calls an habitual offender is headed to prison.
Terry Wales was ordered to serve a 20-year sentence through a plea agreement for stealing a car and possessing a firearm by a convicted felon.
D.A. Michael Guest said Wales is a life-long criminal who has been arrested and convicted for numerous crimes.
Because he is an habitual offender, Wales will serve the full 20 years behind bars.
