The MS Department of Environmental Quality lifts the advisory for the Pearl River near Jackson.
MDEQ had issued a temporary water contact advisory July 18th for parts of the river near Jackson and Lakeland.
Officials said it was because of the discharge of untreated wastewater in the vicinity of Eubanks Creek near Lakeland Drive.
Tests show the bacteria levels in the river have returned to normal.
