Women plead guilty to setting home on fire, killing one man

According to an Assistant District Attorney, Mary Ellyn McWhorter and her daughter Sarah Elizabeth McWhoter, have both pleaded guilty.

The women were initially charged with deliberately setting their mobile home on fire in 2009. That blaze killed 55-year old, Joseph McWhoter.

July 28th his daughter, Sarah pled guilty to manslaughter and selling the burned out trailer even though it had a lien on it. She faces 30 years behind bars and will be sentenced August 22. Her mother Mary Ellyn pled guilty to accessory after the fact to manslaughter and selling the trailer. She is serving 5 years in prison
