JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Organizations, citizens and community leaders will gather Sunday to hold a vigil in memory of the metro inn hit and run victim.
James Craig Anderson was killed June 26th in a hit-and-run in the parking lot of the Metro Inn.
The purpose of Sunday's vigil is to call for peace and forgiveness and to denounce what organizers are calling a hate crime against Anderson.
Two white teenagers face charges for their alleged roles in Anderson's death.
The prayer vigil will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday at New Horizon International Ministries.
The vigil site is one block away from the Metro Inn.
